A Study of Stress and Resilience Alcoholic : Focused on the Mediating Effect of Social Support

Abstract
The purpose of this study was to examine the mediating effect of social support on the relation between stress and resilience for alcoholics. For this, a questionnaire was conducted on alcoholics in alcohol addiction specialized hospitals and clinics located in seven metropolitan cities in area for three month from september, 2013 and the results of the research are as following. First, stress-social support, social support-resilience of alcoholic did show the direct relationship. Second, social support worked as mediators between stress and resilience. The implications and limitations of these findings were discussed, and directions for future studies were also proposed.
